159 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 489,096. 4,225,311 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 1,767,472 people have received the second.
277 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 476,126.
10 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,733. 7 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca, 1 in the Oriental, 1 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and 1 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima.
The country has 4,237 active cases, including 396 in critical conditions. 26 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 80 infections: 79 in Casablanca, 3 in Nouaceur, 2 in Berrechid, 1 in Mohammedia and 1 in Settat. Next comes the Oriental region with 25 cases: 22 in Oujda-Angad, 1 in Nador, 1 in Berkane and 1 in Jerada.
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 21 cases: 8 in Salé, 6 in Skhirat-Témara, 6 in Rabat and 1 in Khemisset. 15 infections were confirmed in Marrakech-Safi: 10 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 3 in Marrakech, 1 in Chichaoua and 1 in the province of Al Haouz.
Souss-Massa recorded 6 new cases: 4 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane and 2 in Chtouka-Ait Baha. Drâa-Tafilalet confirmed 4 new infections: 1 in Errachidia, 1 in Ouarzazate, 1 in Tinghir and 1 in Zagora.
3 cases were confirmed in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab), 2 cases in Khouribga (Beni Mellal-Khénifra), 2 in Fès (Fès-Meknes) and a case in Laâyoune (Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra).
