Covid-19 in Morocco : 526 new infections and 4,236,386 people vaccinated as of Tuesday

526 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 489,622. 4,236,386 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 1,960,996 people have received the second.

601 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 476,727.

4 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,737. 3 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat and 1 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra.

The country has 4,158 active cases, including 403 in critical conditions. 26 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 395 infections: 310 in Casablanca, 20 in El Jadida, 20 in Nouaceur, 20 in Mediouna, 18 in Mohammedia, 4 in Berrechid and 3 in Settat. Next comes the Oriental region with 30 cases: 20 in Oujda-Angad, 7 in Nador, 1 in Jerada, 1 in Taourirt and 1 in Driouch.

Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 24 cases: 9 in Skhirat-Témara, 5 in Salé, 5 in Rabat and 5 in Kénitra. 24 infections were recorded in Marrakech-Safi: 17 in Marrakech, 2 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 2 in Chichaoua, 2 in Safi and 1 in the province of Al Haouz.

Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima recorded 17 cases: 6 in Tanger-Assilah, 4 in Larache, 3 in Tétouan, 3 in Al Hoceima and 1 in Ouazzane. Drâa-Tafilalet confirmed 8 infections: 6 in Errachidia and 2 in Ouarzazate.

6 cases were confirmed in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab), 6 in Sidi Ifni (Guelmim-Oued Noun) and 5 in Fès-Meknès (2 in Fès, 1 in Boulmane, 1 in Sefrou and 1 in Taounate).

Souss-Massa recorded 4 new cases (2 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 1 in Chtouka-Ait Baha and 1 in Tiznit) as well as Beni Mellal-Khénifra (2 in Beni Mellal, 1 in Khouribga and 1 in Fqih Bensaleh), while 3 infections were confirmed in the city of Laâyoune (Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra).
