466 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 490,088. 4,244,651 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 2,116,081 people have received the second.
578 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 477,305.
8 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,745. 5 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 1 in the Oriental region, 1 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and 1 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima.
The country has 4,038 active cases, including 408 in critical conditions. 26 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 332 infections: 240 in Casablanca, 25 in Nouaceur, 22 in Mohammedia, 12 in El Jadida, 12 in Settat, 9 in Mediouna, 9 in Berrechid and 3 in Benslimane. Next comes the Oriental region with 36 cases: 19 in Oujda-Angad, 6 in Nador, 4 in Jerada, 3 in Berkane, 3 in Guercif and 1 in Driouch.
Marrakech-Safi follows with 29 cases: 16 in Marrakech, 7 in the province of Al Haouz and 6 in Kelaa des Sraghna. 28 infections were recorded in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra: 9 in Kénitra, 7 in Salé, 7 in Skhirat-Témara and 5 in Rabat.
Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima recorded 17 cases: 14 in Tangier-Assilah, 2 in Larache and 1 in Chefchaouen. Souss-Massa recorded 6 cases, all in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane.
5 cases were confirmed in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (3 in Khouribga and 2 in Beni Mellal), 4 in Drâa-Tafilalet (3 in Tinghir and 1 in Zagora), and 4 in Laâyoune- Sakia El Hamra (3 in Laâyoune and 1 in Es-Smara).
Two cases were recorded in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab), as well as in Fès (Fès-Meknès) while an infection was confirmed in Sidi Ifni (Guelmim-Oued Noun).
