246 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 491,709. 4,264,168 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 2,423,380 people have received the second.
382 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 479,252.
4 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,767. 2 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 1 in Marrakech-Safi and 1 in the Oriental region.
The country has 3,690 active cases, including 406 in critical conditions. 25 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 160 infections: 130 in Casablanca, 22 in Nouaceur, 4 in El Jadida, 2 in Berrechid, 1 in Mohammedia and 1 in Benslimane. Next comes the Oriental region with 20 new cases: 11 in Oujda-Angad, 5 in Taourirt, 2 in Jerada, 1 in Berkane and 1 in Guercif.
Marrakech-Safi follows with 20 cases. 13 infections were recorded in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra: 5 in Rabat, 5 in Skhirat-Témara, 2 in Khemisset and 1 in Kénitra.
Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab recorded 12 cases, all in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab. Souss-Massa recorded 9 cases: 6 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 2 in Tiznit and 1 in Taroudant.
4 infections were confirmed in Drâa-Tafilalet (2 in Errachidia and 2 in Tinghir) and 3 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (2 in Tétouan and 1 in M'Diq-Fnideq).
3 cases were recorded in Fès-Meknes (2 in Fès and 1 in Ifrane) while 2 infections were confirmed in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (1 in Khouribga and 1 in Beni Mellal).
