The board of directors of the Calandlyceum in Amsterdam Nieuw-West, a secondary school, has suspended a teacher after insulting his Moroccan students. At the end of an online course, he told his wife, thinking that his microphone was off, that he was «almost done with these **cking Moroccans», reports Joop.

Contacted by the Dutch media AT5, the principal of the school, Wendelien Hoedemaker declared that she disapproves of the remarks made by the teacher and regrets his comment, announcing that she would not hesitate to impose sanctions and that she take appropriate action.

The teacher was suspended pending the results of the school's investigation, as the school board notified students, parents and staff.

AT5 reports that an email shared to social media, where the teacher says he is ashamed of his racist comments. The school principal declined to confirm whether the email really belongs to the teacher. The incident, which took place last week, is also the subject of a post shared on social media by one of the students' parents describing what happened.
