Morocco dismantles terrorist cell in Oujda

The Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ) dismantled, on Thursday, a terrorist cell made up of four people in Oujda. The operation was carried in coordination with the American intelligence services. The General Directorate of National Security said the suspects are affiliated with ISIS.

In a press release, relayed by MAP, BCIJ reported that the arrests were made during four interventions in four separate neighborhoods. The same source adds that two brothers are among the arrestees, whose age varies between 24 and 28 years.

The passports of all the suspects were seized from one of the arrested. During the raids police seized computers, cell phones, knives and large sums of money, five million dirhams, it added.

The operations took place in the Si Lakhdar, Oued Nachef, Hay Zitoune and Route de Jerada neighborhoods.
