Moroccan YouTuber «3robi F Merican» sentenced to 3 months in prison

A Casablanca court sentenced, Thursday, Moroccan-American YouTuber Chafik Omerani, a.k.a «3robi F Merican» to 3 months in prison as well as a fine of 40,000 dirhams, his brother Mohamed Omerani said on Facebook.
The YouTubeur was arrested in February at the Rabat-Salé airport by Moroccan police. He came the Kingdom from the United States where he lives, after a stopover in Brussels, Belgium. 

The King's prosecutor at the Casablanca criminal court of first instance had indicated that Chafik Omerani «published a series of videos containing insulting and defamatory expressions against constitutional institutions, organized establishments and public officials».

For the record, «3robi F Merican» has led a hunger strike of more than 40 days to protest his arrest.
