In a campaign launched Sunday, March 28, strangers in Tangier hung messages on the walls of the city center, urging «parents to veil their daughters», reports Tangier24. The stickers called those who refused to do so «honorless».

The messages referred to unveiled girls as «cheap products» that their parents put on the sidewalks, in the streets and on the roads.

Tangier is known for the proliferation of followers of radical movements who do not hesitate to take action to impose their ideas. In August 2014, three Islamist extremists arrested a young man for attending a wedding party. They sentenced him to 80 lashes for drinking alcohol.
