665 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 495,421. 4,315,802 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 3,566,498 people have received the second.
580 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 483,165.
6 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,813.
The country has 3,443 active cases, including 419 in critical conditions. 25 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 477 infections: 379 in Casablanca, 37 in Mohammedia, 33 in Nouaceur, 12 in Berrechid, 6 in Mediouna, 5 in El Jadida, 4 in Benslimane and 1 in Settat. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 64 cases: 23 in Salé, 22 in Kénitra, 10 in Skhirat-Témara, 5 in Rabat, 2 in Sidi Slimane, 1 in Khemisset and 1 in Sidi Kacem.
Marrakech-Safi follows with 23 cases: 20 in Marrakech and 3 in Chichaoua. 20 infections were confirmed in the Oriental region: 10 in Oujda-Angad, 4 in Taourirt, 3 in Berkane, 2 in Nador and 1 in Jerada.
Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra recorded 17 new infections: 15 in Laâyoune, 1 in Es-Smara and 1 in Boujdour, while Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab also recorded 17 new cases, all in the province of 'Oued Ed-Dahab.
16 cases were confirmed in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (8 in Tanger-Assilah, 3 in Larache, 2 in Tetouan, 2 in M'diq-Fnideq and 1 in Al Hoceima), 10 in Drâa -Tafilalet (9 in Errachidia and 1 in Tinghir) and 10 in Souss-Massa (4 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 2 in Tiznit, 2 in Tata, 1 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane and 1 in Chtouka-Ait Baha).
Beni Mellal-Khénifra recorded 6 new infections (3 in Fqih Bensaleh, 2 in Khouribga and 1 in Khénifra), 3 were confirmed in Guelmim-Oued Noun (2 in Assa Zag and 1 in Tan Tan) and 2 in Fes (Fes-Meknes).
