575 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 497,832. 4,348,995 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 3,891,875 people have received the second.
569 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 484,793.
7 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,842. 2 of these deaths were recorded in the Marrakech-Safi region, 1 in Casablanca-Settat, 1 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 1 in the Oriental, 1 in Souss-Massa and 1 in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra.
The country has 4,197 active cases, including 419 in critical conditions. 19 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 405 infections: 304 in Casablanca, 25 in Nouaceur, 22 in Settat, 18 in El Jadida, 13 in Mohammedia, 13 in Mediouna, 9 in Berrechid and 1 in Benslimane. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 62 cases: 31 in Kénitra, 19 in Salé, 5 in Skhirat-Témara, 5 in Rabat and 2 in Sidi Kacem.
Marrakech-Safi follows with 26 cases: 19 in Marrakech, 3 in Rhamna, 2 in Chichaoua, 1 in Essaouira, and 1 in Safi. 17 infections were recorded in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima: 10 in Larache, 5 in Tanger-Assilah, 1 in Tétouan and 1 in M'Diq-Fnideq.
The Oriental region recorded 15 new cases: 7 in Berkane, 3 in Oujda-Angad, 3 in Nador, 1 in Jerada and 1 in Taourirt. Souss-Massa recorded 13 new infections: 5 in Chtouka-Ait Baha, 4 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 2 in Tiznit, 1 in Taroudant and 1 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul.
11 cases were recorded in Drâa-Tafilalet (7 in Tinghir and 4 in Errachidia), 7 in Fès-Meknès (4 in Taza, 2 in Fez and 1 in Ifrane) and 6 in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).
Beni Mellal-Khénifra recorded 5 new cases (4 in Khouribga and 1 in Azilal), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra confirmed 5, and 3 infections were confirmed in Guelmim (Guelmim-Oued Noun).
