365 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 498,197. 4,348,995 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 3,891,875 people have received the second.
128 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 484,921.
8 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,850. 2 of these deaths were recorded in the region of Casablanca-Settat, 2 in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra, 2 in the Oriental region, 1 in Marrakech-Safi and 1 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra.
The country has 4,426 active cases, including 435 in critical conditions. 18 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 204 infections: 166 in Casablanca, 14 in Nouaceur, 12 in Mohammedia, 10 in Mediouna and 2 in El Jadida. Next comes Marrakech-Safi with 56 cases: 42 in Marrakech, 4 in Rhamna, 3 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 3 in Safi, 2 in Chichaoua, 1 in Essaouira and 1 in Youssoufia.
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 29 cases: 8 in Skhirat-Témara, 7 in Salé, 5 in Rabat, 5 in Sidi Kacem, 3 in Kénitra and 1 in Sidi Slimane. 21 infections were confirmed in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).
Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra recorded 18 new cases: 17 in Laâyoune and 1 in Boujdour. Souss-Massa recorded 11 new infections: 10 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane and 1 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul.
8 cases were confirmed in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (5 in Tanger-Assilah, 2 in Tétouan and 1 in Chefchaouen), 7 in the Oriental region (4 in Oujda-Angad, 1 in Nador, 1 in Jerada and 1 in Figuig) as well as 5 cases in the city of Fès (Fès-Meknes).
4 cases were confirmed in Guelmim (Guelmim-Oued Noun) while 2 infections were recorded in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (1 in Beni Mellal and 1 in Fqih Bensaleh).
