Covid-19 in Morocco : 132 new infections and 7 deaths on Monday

132 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 498,329. 4,352,033 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 3,951,023 people have received the second.

241 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 485,162.

7 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,857. 3 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 1 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 1 in Marrakech-Safi, 1 in Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab and 1 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima.

The country has 4,310 active cases, including 452 in critical conditions. 18 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 70 infections: 59 in Casablanca, 4 in El Jadida, 4 in Nouaceur and 3 in Settat. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 23 cases: 7 in Rabat, 7 in Kénitra, 5 in Sidi Kacem, 2 in Salé and 2 in Skhirat-Témara.

Marrakech follows with 16 cases: 15 in Marrakech and 1 in Youssoufia. 6 infections were recorded in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).

Souss-Massa recorded 5 new infections: 4 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane and 1 in Tiznit. Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima confirmed 4 new cases: 3 in Tanger-Assilah and 1 in M'Diq-Fnideq.

4 cases were recorded in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (3 in Beni Mellal and 1 in Khouribga), 2 in Nador (Oriental), 1 in Fès (Fès-Meknes) and 1 case in Boujdour ( Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra).
