Covid-19 in Morocco : 663 new infections and 2 deaths on Wednesday

663 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 499,688. 4,410,023 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 4,038,083 people have received the second.

641 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 486,349.

2 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,867.

The country has 4,472 active cases, including 454 in critical conditions. 20 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 482 infections: 365 in Casablanca, 33 in Nouaceur, 30 in Mohammedia, 16 in Settat, 12 in Benslimane, 10 in Berrechid, 8 in El Jadida and 8 in Mediouna. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 52 cases: 17 in Kénitra, 9 in Skhirat-Témara, 8 in Salé, 8 in Sidi Slimane, 7 in Rabat and 3 in Sidi Kacem

Marrakech-Safi follows with 32 cases: 27 in Marrakech, 2 in Chichaoua, 2 in Rhamna and 1 in Kelaa des Sraghna. 30 infections were recorded in Souss-Massa: 13 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 7 in Tiznit, 5 in Chtouka-Ait Baha, 4 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul and 1 in Taroudant.

The Oriental region recorded 24 new infections: 7 in Taourirt, 6 in Oujda-Angad, 4 in Nador, 4 in Berkane, 2 in Jerada and 1 in Driouch. Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima confirmed 14 cases: 6 in Tanger-Assilah, 4 in Tetouan, 2 in M'diq-Fnideq and 2 in Larache.

10 cases were recorded in Laâyoune (Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra), 6 infections in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (2 in Khouribga, 2 in Khénifra and 2 in Beni Mellal) as well as 4 in Fès-Meknes (3 in Fez and 1 in Meknes).

3 cases were recorded in Errachidia (Drâa-Tafilalet), 3 in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab) and 3 in Sidi Ifni (Guelmim-Oued Noun).
