740 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 501,688. 4,471,831 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 4,134,740 people have received the second.
601 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 488,015.
6 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,891. 4 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 1 Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and 1 in Souss-Massa.
The country has 4,782 active cases, including 449 in critical conditions. 18 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 487 infections: 361 in Casablanca, 42 in Nouaceur, 19 in Berrechid, 21 in Mohammedia, 16 in Settat, 9 in El Jadida, 5 in Mediouna, 3 in Benslimane and 1 in Sidi Bennour. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 93 cases: 39 in Sale, 1 in Kénitra, 15 Skhirat-Témara, 12 in Sidi Kacem, 7 in Rabat, 3 in Sidi Slimane and 1 in Khemisset.
Marrakech-Safi follows with 53 cases: 36 in Marrakech, 6 in Kela des Sraghna, 5 in Essaouira, 3 in Rehamna, 1 in Chichaoua and 1 in Youssoufia. 20 infections were recorded in Souss-Massa: 10 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul, 8 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 1 in Tiznit and 1 in Taroudant.
Laâyoune-Es Sakia El Hamra recorded 20 new infections: 17 in Laâyoune, 2 in Boujdour and 1 in Tarfaya. Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima confirmed 19 cases: 11 in Tanger-Assilah, 6 in Tétouan, 1 in M'diq-Fnideq and 1 in Larache.
The Oriental region recorded 16 new infections: 5 in Oujda-Angad, 4 in Nador, 4 in Taourirt, 3 in Midelt and 5 in Zagora. Drâa-Tafilalet confirmed 14 cases: 5 in Zagora, 4 in Tinghir and 2 in Errachidia. Beni Mellal-Khénifra confirmed 6 cases: 3 in Khouribga and 3 in Beni Mellal.
Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab recorded 5 cases, all in Oued Ed-Dahab. Guelmim-Oued Noun also confirmed 5 cases: 3 in Tan Tan, 1 in Guelmim and 1 in Assa Zag.
Fès-Meknes recorded 2 new cases: 1 in Taza and 1 in Taounate.
