414 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 502,102. 4,471,831 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 4,134,740 people have received the second.
346 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 488,361.
9 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,900. 6 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 2 in Fès-Meknes and 1 in the Oriental region.
The country has 4,841 active cases, including 432 in critical conditions. 19 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 248 infections: 202 in Casablanca, 29 in Nouaceur, 11 in El Jadida, 2 in Mohammedia, 2 in Médiouna, 1 in Settat and 1 in Benslimane. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 39 cases: 12 in Skhirat-Témara, 9 in Salé, 6 in Kénitra, 5 in Rabat, 3 in Sidi Slimane, 2 in Khémisset and 2 in Sidi Kacem.
In Souss-Massa, 34 infections were recorded: 22 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 5 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul, 4 in Taroudant and 3 in Tiznit. Marrakech-Safi follows with 29 cases: 20 in Marrakech, 6 in Essaouira, 1 in Rehamna, 1 in Al Haouz and 1 in Safi. The Oriental region recorded 21 new infections: 9 in Oujda-Angad, 3 in Jerada, 4 in Taourirt, 3 in Jerada, 3 in Driouch and 2 in Nador.
Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab counted 12 cases, all of them in Oued Ed-Dahab. Laâyoune-Es Sakia El Hamra recorded 10 new infections: 8 in Laâyoune and 2 in Boujdour. Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima confirmed 9 cases: 8 in Tanger-Assilah and 1 in M'diq-Fnideq.
Fès-Meknes recorded 7 new cases: 6 in Fez and 1 in Taza. Drâa-Tafilalet confirmed 3 cases: 2 in Midelt and 1 in Zagora. Beni Mellal-Khénifra recorded 2 in Beni Mellal.
