Algeria is proposing a new condition for the reopening of land borders with Morocco, closed since 1994.
«To reopen borders, Moroccan officials must have good intentions and take the necessary measures to stop attacks and crimes against Algeria near the border, especially weapon and drug trafficking», Algeria’s communication minister and government spokesperson Ammar Belhimer said.
In the past, Algerian officials used to refer to three conditions when addressing the reopening of borders with Morocco : Putting an end to an alleged media campaign against Algeria, drag trafficking and accepting Algeria’s support to the Polisario.
