703 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 503,664. 4,529,399 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 4,166,701 people have received the second.
640 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 489,928.
5 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,920. 2 of these deaths were recorded in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 1 in Casablanca-Settat, 1 in Marrakech-Safi and 1 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma.
The country has 4,816 active cases, including 447 in critical conditions. 15 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 483 infections: 358 in Casablanca, 33 in Nouaceur, 30 in Mohammedia, 14 in Berrechid, 14 in Settat, 12 in Mediouna, 12 in El Jadida, 8 in Sidi Bennour and 2 in Benslimane. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 69 cases: 26 in Skhirat-Témara, 18 in Salé, 17 in Kénitra, 5 in Rabat and 2 in Sidi Kacem
Marrakech-Safi follows with 47 cases: 39 in Marrakech, 4 in Essaouira, 2 in Rehamna, 1 in Youssoufia and 1 in Kelâa des Sraghna. 23 infections were recorded in Souss-Massa: 13 in Agadir-Ida Ou Tanane, 6 in Taroudant, 3 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul and 1 in Chtouka-Aït Baha.
Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceïma recorded 16 new infections: 13 in Tangier-Assilah and 3 in Al Hoceïma. The Oriental region recorded 16 cases: 9 in Oujda-Angad, 5 in Nador and 2 in Berkane. Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra counted 15 cases: 13 in Laâyoune, 2 in Boujdour and 1 in Tarfaya.
Beni Mellal-Khénifra confirmed 11 cases: 5 in Khouribga, 2 in Khénifra, 2 in Beni Mellal and 2 in Fqih Bensaleh. Fès-Meknes recorded 11 new cases: 8 in Fez, 2 in Meknes and 1 in Taounate. Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab confirmed 5 cases, all in Oued Ed-Dahab.
Drâa-Tafilalet recorded 3 new cases: 1 in Errachidia, 1 in Ouarzazate and 1 in Tinghir. Guelmim-Oued Noun confirmed 3, all in Guelmim.
