Morocco to operate direct flights to Israel after Ramadan

The head of Morocco’s liaison office in Tel Aviv Abderrahim Beyyoudh met, Tuesday, the Minister of Regional Cooperation Ofir Akunis to talk about tourism. The two officials spoke about the air links between Morocco and Israel, i24news reported.

«Immediately after Ramadan, we will on strengthening tourism relations between the two countries by operating direct flights», said Abderrahim Beyyoudh, quoted in a statement by the Israeli ministry of regional cooperation. The Moroccan official also expressed his impatience to «work with the Ministry of Regional Cooperation on common projects that benefit both peoples».

The Moroccan diplomat also recalled that «the historic peace agreement between the two countries has been appreciated by the Moroccan people who love Israel». «Jewish traditions are an integral part of Moroccan culture. I hope for increased cooperation between the two countries. We need it because it must reflect the warm relations in many areas», he added.

For his part, Ofir Akunis said that «the agreement between the two countries has enormous potential in the fields of trade, economy, tourism, technology and innovation». «The agreement radically changes the political situation in our region and creates a completely new atmosphere in the Middle East», he said.
