507 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 509,037. 4,723,635 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 4,217,485 people have received the second.
457 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 494,872.
5 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,988. 2 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 1 in Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab, 1 in Laâyoune-Es Sakia El Hamra and 1 in Souss-Massa.
The country has 5,177 active cases, including 385 in critical conditions. 15 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 328 cases: 261 in Casablanca, 23 in Nouaceur, 14 in Mohammedia, 11 in Settat, 11 in Berrechid, 6 in El Jadida, 1 in Médiouna and 1 in Benslimane. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 39 cases: 15 in Salé, 10 in Kénitra, 6 in Skhirat-Témara, 9 in Salé, 5 in Rabat and 1 in Sidi Slimane.
Marrakech-Safi follows with 35 cases: 21 in Marrakech, 8 in Kelâa des Sraghna, 5 in Youssoufia and 1 in Al Haouz. 28 infections were identified in Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab, all in Oued Ed-Dahab. Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra has confirmed 20 cases, all in Laâyoune.
Souss-Massa follows with 17 new cases: 10 in Agadir-Ida Ou Tanane, 4 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul and 3 in Tiznit. Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma recorded 16 new infections: 6 in M'diq-Fnideq, 5 in Tanger-Assilah, 3 in Ouezzane and 2 in Tétouan.
For its part, Drâa-Tafilalet recorded 11 cases: 4 in Zagora, 3 in Tinghir, 2 in Errachidia and 2 in Ouarzazate. The Oriental has identified 10 cases: 6 in Oujda-Angad, 3 in Berkane and 1 in Figuig. Beni Mellal-Khénifra confirmed 3 cases: 1 in Khouribga, 1 in Beni Mellal and 1 in Fqih Bensalah.
Guelmim-Oued Noun identified 1 case in Tan Tan. Finally, Fès-Meknes confirmed 1 case in Fez.
