Covid-19 in Morocco : 313 new infections and 3 deaths on Saturday

313 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 511,562. 5,055,239 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 4,260,605 people have received the second.

510 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 498,131.

3 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,105. 1 of these deaths was recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 1 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and 1 in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra.

The country has 4,405 active cases, including 342 in critical conditions. 17 of them are on ventilators.

The region of Casablanca-Settat leads with 204 new cases: 175 in Casablanca, 10 in Nouaceur, 10 in Mohammedia, 3 in Berrechid, 2 in Médiouna, 2 in Benslimane, 1 in Settat and 1 in El Jadida. Next comes Marrakech-Safi with 20 cases: 19 in Marrakech and 1 in Safi.

Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 19 cases: 6 in Salé, 5 in Skhirat-Témara, 5 in Rabat and 3 in Kénitra. In addition, 14 infections have been identified in the Oriental: 8 in Oujda-Angad, 5 in Nador and 1 in Berkane.

Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma recorded, for its part, 13 cases: 6 in Larache, 3 in Tetouan, 3 in Tanger-Assilah and 1 in M'diq-Fnideq. Souss-Massa has identified 11 new infections: 7 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 3 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul and 1 in Tiznit.

There are also 8 confirmed cases in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab), 8 infections recorded in Laâyoune (Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra) as well as 6 cases identified in Guelmim (Guelmim-Oued Noun).

Finally, Drâa-Tafilalet confirmed 5 new cases (3 in Errachidia and 2 in Ouarzazate) against 3 infections in Fès (Fès-Meknès) and 2 in Beni-Mellal-Khénifra (1 in Khouribga and 1 in Beni Mellal).
