Spanish police arrested a pharmacy employee in the municipality of El Ejido, located in the province of Almeria, after he forged Covid-19 tests handed to Moroccans planning to return to Morocco.
According to La Voz de Almeria an investigation was launched on April 20, after it was confirmed that a pharmacy was illegally selling PCR tests. It turned out that a 24-year-old pharmacy employee was the one who forged documents in order to enable a group of people to travel to countries that required compulsory Covid-19 testing.
He was able to access the laboratory computer that contained the results of the PCR tests and forge the original documents, by modifying the patient's name, for a fee amounting to 130 euros.
He also set up a company that specializes in booking airline tickets, which was helping him gain more customers to hand them out forged PCR test documents.
According to the Spanish police, the person concerned issued seven forged documents for the benefit of Moroccan citizens, and the investigation is still underway.
