A spokesperson for the United States Department of State said on Tuesday that the Biden administration «has not decided on the recognition of former US President Donald Trump of Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara».
Quoted by Al Hurra, the official denied the version advanced a few days ago by Axios, which revealed that Antony Blinken would have told Nasser Bourita that the Biden administration does not plan to revise the December 10 decision taken by Donald Trump.
«No such decision has been taken. We are in private consultation with the parties to determine the best way forward and we have nothing more to announce», said the spokesperson.
Since the official appointment of the new American administration, its officials have avoided addressing questions related to the United States' recognition of Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara.
