Covid-19 in Morocco : 371 new infections and 5 deaths on Wednesday

371 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 512,656. 5,231,766 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 4,326,873 people have received the second.

402 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 499,491.

5 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 9,043. 3 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 1 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma, 1 in Laâyoune-Es Sakia El Hamra.

The country has 4,122 active cases, including 300 in critical conditions. 18 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 232 cases: 186 in Casablanca, 12 in Nouaceur, 9 in Médiouna, 9 in Mohammedia, 8 in El Jadida, 6 in Berrechid and 2 in Settat. Marrakech-Safi follows with 42 cases: 32 in Marrakech, 5 in Safi, 2 in Al Haouz, 2 in Youssoufia and 1 in Essaouira.

Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 25 cases: 11 in Kénitra, 9 in Rabat, 3 in Skhirat-Témara, 1 in Sidi Kacem and 1 in Salé. Souss-Massa recorded 17:16 in Agadir-Ida Ou Tanane and 1 in Chtouka-Aït Baha. Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma follows with 16 cases: 10 in Tanger-Assilah, 3 in M'diq-Fnideq, 1 in Tétouan, 1 in Ouezzane and 1 in Larache.

Laâyoune-Es Sakia El Hamra recorded 14 cases: 7 in Laâyoune and 7 in Boujdour. Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab recorded 8 cases, all of them in Oued Ed-Dahab. The Oriental region recorded 6 cases: 2 in Oujda-Angad, 2 in Taourirt, 1 in Berkane and 1 in Guercif.

Drâa-Tafilalet recorded 6 cases: 3 in Tinghir, 2 in Errachidia and 1 in Ouarzazate. Fès-Meknes confirmed 4 cases: 3 in Fez and 1 in Ifrane. Beni Mellal-Khénifra confirmed 1 case in Khouribga.
