The Spanish National Court suspended summons, sent Friday May 7, to five leaders of the Polisario Front, to hear them over accusations of crimes against humanity, arbitrary detention and torture suffered by Fadel Brika, a Sahrawi activist. Europa Press agency cites judicial sources, indicating that this decision is explained by the inability to locate them.

The leaders in question are the brothers of the founder of the separatist movement, Bachir Mustapha Sayed, in addition to Sayed Ahmed Bilal, Ghali Sidi Mohamed Adellil, Mohamed El Khalil and Mohamed Salek Adessamad. As previously announced, the hearing of Brahim Ghali is postponed for June 1, since the leader of the Polisario is still hospitalized.

Author of the complaint Fadel Brika says he was kidnapped and tortured between June and November 2019, after denouncing on social media the corruption among the leaders of the Polisario.
