Covid-19 in Morocco : 314 new infections and 7 deaths on Saturday

314 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 513,628. 5,473,809 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 4,390,752 people have received the second.

348 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 500,540.

7 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 9,064. 3 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat, 1 in Marrakech-Safi, 1 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma, 1 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and 1 in Guelmim-Oued Noun.

The country has 4,024 active cases, including 255 in critical conditions. 16 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 214 cases: 168 in Casablanca, 11 in Settat, 10 in El Jadida, 8 in Mohammedia, 7 in Berrechid, 6 in Nouaceur, 3 in Médiouna and 1 in Benslimane. Marrakech-Safi follows with 26 cases: 20 in Marrakech, 3 in Youssoufia, 1 in El Kelâa des Sraghna, 1 in Essaouira and 1 in Safi.

Souss-Massa recorded 23 cases:14 in Agadir-Ida Ou Tanane, 5 in Tiznit and 4 in Inezgane-Aït Melloul. Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma follows with 13 cases: 8 in Tanger-Assilah, 2 in M'diq-Fnideq, 1 in Tétouan, 1 in Larache and 1 in Chefchaouen. Laâyoune-Es Sakia El Hamra recorded 11 cases: 5 in Laâyoune, 5 in Boujdour and 1 in Tarfaya.

The Oriental region confirmed 8 cases: 5 in Oujda-Angad, 2 in Nador and 1 in Driouch. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 6 cases: 3 in Rabat, 2 in Skhirat-Témara and 1 in Salé. Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab recorded 5, all of them in Oued Ed-Dahab.

Beni Mellal-Khénifra confirmed 4: 2 to Fqih Ben Salah and 2 to Azilal. Guelmim-Oued Noun recorded 3: 2 in Guelmim and 1 in Assa-Zag. Drâa-Tafilalet recorded 1 case in Errachidia.
