The Polisario Front is organizing a webinar this week to discuss «human rights violations in Western Sahara». An event set up by the Intergroup for Western Sahara at the European Parliament. A press release from the Parliamentary Intergroup, relayed by the Algerian agency APS and the Polisario press agency, explains that the latter «will look into the violations of human rights in Western Sahara committed by Morocco».
This meeting is expected to have several interventions, including that of Marco Sassoli, expert and professor in international humanitarian law, who must address «international law in Western Sahara». As usual, the Front invited separatists from Morocco to speak at the meeting, like Soltana Kheya of the «Sahrawi Instance against the Moroccan occupation» and Mahjoub Maliha, from the Association of Sahrawi Human Rights Defenders.
The Intergroup for Western Sahara in Parliament can also count on the American Robert Kennedy Foundation, which mandates its activist Valentina Pahliai, lawyer for the Gdeim Izik Olfa Ouled group, as well as Claude Mangin, the wife of Naama Asfari.
