Covid-19 in Morocco : 58 new infections and 5 deaths on Monday

58 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 513,922. 5,726,928 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 4,404,867 people have received the second.

232 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 501,146.

5 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 9,077. 2 of these deaths were recorded in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 2 in Marrakech-Safi and 1 in Casablanca-Settat.

The country has 3,699 active cases, including 239 in critical conditions. 14 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 24 cases: 21 in Casablanca and 3 in Nouaceur. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 8 cases: 5 in Kénitra, 1 in Sidi Kacem, 1 in Rabat and 1 in Khemisset.

The Oriental region has 8 new cases: 3 in Oujda-Angad, 2 in Driouch, 1 in Taourirt, 1 in Berkane and 1 in Figuig. Marrakech-Safi follows with 4 cases: 3 in Marrakech and 1 in El Kelâa des Sraghna. Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceïma follows with 4 cases: 2 in Tetouan, 1 in Tangier-Assilah and 1 in Ouezzane.

Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab recorded 3 cases, all of them in Oued Ed-Dahab. Souss-Massa recorded 3, all in Agadir-Ida Ou Tanane. Laâyoune-Es Sakia El Hamra recorded 1 case in Laâyoune. Beni Mellal-Khénifra confirmed 1 cases in Fqih Ben Salah.

Drâa-Tafilalet follows with 1 case in Errachidia. Fès-Meknes recorded 1 case in Fez.
