Covid-19 in Morocco : 268 new infections and 5 deaths on Wednesday

268 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 514,432. 5,994,379 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 4,441,667 people have received the second.

288 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 501,692.

5 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 9,088. 3 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat and 2 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma.

The country has 3,652 active cases, including 220 in critical conditions. 14 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 204 cases: 174 in Casablanca, 15 in Nouaceur, 5 in Settat, 3 in Mohammedia, 3 in Berrechid, 3 in Médiouna and 1 in Benslimane . Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 19 cases: 8 in Salé, 6 in Rabat, 3 in Kénitra and 2 in Skhirat-Témara. Souss-Massa confirmed 11: 7 in Agadir-Ida Ou Tanane and 4 in Inezgane-Aït Melloul.

Marrakech-Safi follows with 10 cases in Marrakech. Laâyoune-Es Sakia El Hamra recorded 8 cases: 7 in Laâyoune and 1 in Boujdour. Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma counted 7: 2 in Tanger-Assilah, 1 in M'diq-Fnideq, 1 in Ouezzane, 1 in Larache, 1 in Chefchaouen and 1 in Fahs Anjra. The Oriental region follows with 4 cases: 3 in Oujda-Angad and 1 in Berkane. Drâa-Tafilalet recorded 1 case in Errachidia.

Beni Mellal-Khénifra confirmed 1 case in Khouribga. Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab recorded 1 in Oued Ed-Dahab.
