Finland inaugurates new honorary consulate in Fes

Finland inaugurated, Thursday, a honorary consulate in the Fes-Meknes region. Kenza Ouazzani Chahdi has been appointed Honorary Consul of Finland in the region. 

Her mission will consist of promoting economic and trade relations between Finland and the Kingdom and assisting, when necessary, Finnish nationals in Fez-Meknes.

Finland now has six honorary consulates in Morocco, namely in Fez, Agadir, Tangier, Safi, Marrakech and Casablanca.

Ahead of the inauguration, the Ambassador of Finland to Morocco visited the Fez-Meknes region (May 18 - 20) to explore the economic and commercial potential of the region and discover partnership opportunities and collaboration between the two countries.

The Finnish delegation had meetings with senior officials from the Region, the Regional Investment Center, the General Confederation of Enterprises in Morocco, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services, as well as stakeholders from the private sector.
