Covid-19 in Morocco : 211 new infections and 3 deaths on Sunday

211 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 517,023. 7,635,674 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 4,831,397 people have received the second.

178 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 505,228.

3 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 9,122. The 3 deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat.

The country has 2,673 active cases, including 160 in critical conditions. 5 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 120 cases: 104 in Casablanca, 6 in Nouaceur, 4 in Médiouna, 3 in El Jadida, 2 in Benslimane and 1 in Mohammedia. Marrakech-Safi follows with 24 cases: 19 in Marrakech, 4 in El Kelâa des Sraghna and 1 in Essaouira. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 19 cases: 11 in Skhirat-Témara, 5 in Rabat, 2 in Sale and 1 in Khemisset.

Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceïma confirmed 15: 11 in Ouezzane, 2 in Tetouan and 2 in Chefchaouen. Souss-Massa recorded 15: 11 in Agadir-Ida Ou Tanane, 3 in Inezgane-Aït Melloul and 1 in Tiznit. Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab confirmed 6 in Oued Ed-Dahab.

Drâa-Tafilalet recorded 6: 3 in Tinghir, 1 in Zagora, 1 in Errachidia and 1 in Ouarzazate. Laâyoune-Es Sakia El Hamra recorded 4 cases: 2 in Laâyoune and 2 in Boujdour. The Oriental region confirmed 2 cases in Guercif.
