Covid-19 in Morocco : 385 new infections and 2 deaths on Wednesday

385 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 517,808. 8,148,964 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 4,996,705 people have received the second.

393 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 506,061.

2 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 9,131. 1 of these deaths were confirmed in Casablanca-Settat and 1 in Marrakech-Safi.

The country has 2,616 active cases, including 177 in critical conditions. 5 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 234 cases: 184 in Casablanca, 17 in Nouaceur, 9 in Médiouna, 7 in El Jadida, 7 in Settat, 5 in Mohammedia, 4 in Berrechid and 1 in Benslimane. Marrakech-Safi follows with 42 cases: 30 in Marrakech, 6 in El Kelâa des Sraghna, 3 in Safi, 2 in Al Haouz and 1 in Chichaoua.

Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 31 cases: 11 in Salé, 9 in Skhirate-Témara, 5 in Rabat, 5 in Kénitra and 1 in Sidi Kacem. Souss-Massa confirmed 29: 11 in Inezgane-Aït Melloul, 8 in Agadir-Ida Ou Tanane, 8 in Chtouka Aït Baha and 2 in Taroudant. Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma recorded 19 cases: 8 in Tanger-Assilah, 5 in Chefchaouen, 3 in Ouezzane, 1 in M'diq-Fnideq, 1 in Tetouan and 1 in El Hoceïma.

Laâyoune-Es Sakia El Hamra confirmed 9: 7 in Laâyoune and 2 in Boujdour. Guelmim-Oued Noun confirmed 4 in Tan Tan. Fès-Meknes recorded 4: 3 in Fez and 1 in Taza. Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab follows with 4 cases in Oued-Ed Dahab. Beni Mellal-Khénifra confirmed 4 new cases in Khénifra.

Drâa-Tafilal recorded 3: 2 in Midelt and 1 in Ouarzazate. The Oriental region recorded 2 cases: 1 in Oujda-Angad and 1 in Nador.
