On Monday, the Moroccan police prevented a new migration attempt to Ceuta. Elements of the security forces have banned hundreds of would-be migrants, most of them Moroccans, from approaching the border.

On the same day, a group of ten immigrants tried to swim to Ceuta. An attempt also aborted by the Moroccan police.

On May 17 and 18, 10,000 migrants crossed to Ceuta. The strong interventions of Moroccan public forces attest that security cooperation between Rabat and Madrid is working.
