Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia and Special Representative of the President of Russia for the Middle East Mikhail Bogdanov received on Monday, December 11, the ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco, Lotfi Bouchaara. The talks focused on «issues related to the progressive development of traditionally friendly relations between Russia and Morocco, including the schedule of upcoming meetings at different levels», the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

This meeting comes a few days before the holding of a new edition of the Arab-Russian Cooperation Forum, scheduled for December 20 in Marrakech. The meeting was agreed upon last week at the end of another meeting held in Cairo between representatives of Russia and Arab League States.

For the record, Mikhail Bogdanov already received Lotfi Bouchaara on November 30 in Moscow.
