Algerian media is taking turns to warn against the new partnership agreement that Morocco and the United Arab Emirates signed on December 4 in Abu Dhabi in the presence of King Mohammed VI and President Cheikh Mohamed Ben Zayed. After Echorouk, El Khabar and Algérie aujourd’hui, it is now the turn of Algeria's state-owned public radio Radio Algérie to join the trend.

The radio claims, quoting «well-informed sources», that the UAE would have granted «15 million euros to Morocco to finance misinformation campaigns and create tension between Algeria and the countries of Sahel. It has also planned to use this budget to acquire shares in certain media in France and Africa».

Radio Algérie did not forget to include Israel to the «campaign» intended essentially «for Mali and Niger in order to sell the idea that it is Algeria that finances the destabilization of these two brother countries».

Last week, the daily Algérie aujourd’hui accused «Morocco of dragging the United Arab Emirates into its war against» the Polisario. For its part, Awras news warned of the consequences the Emirati financing of the Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline project might have on the construction of the Nigeria-Niger-Algeria pipeline. Similarly, El Khabar wrote on Tuesday, December 12, that the «UAE with the help of Morocco want to destabilize Algeria».

Officially, Algeria has not yet commented the Declaration signed by Morocco and the UAE, which promised to study ways of financing the Morocco-Nigeria gas pipeline project.
