A hub of the Coalition for Climate Entrepreneurship (CCE) opened on Tuesday, December 12, in Marrakech’s Emerging business Factory, the US Department of State said.

The hub was opened in collaboration with the US Department of State and the Near East Foundation, with the support of the Esla & Peter Soderberg Charitable Foundation and Islamic Relief USA, reads a statement published Wednesday.

The CCE Hub will be a makerspace for climate-focused entrepreneurs, with access to the hardware, software, community, and resources needed to start their businesses and introduce new low-carbon solutions to the market.

The Marrakech CCE Hub will host, for 24 months, companies from the MENA region, the same source added. Moreover, the hub hosted from December 11-15 «an incubator for emerging entrepreneurs». The latter includes workshops, coaching sessions, and project presentations by innovative start-ups.

Start-ups with the most promising solutions will be selected for mentorship and training, the US Department of State said.
