Cadi Ayyad University wins UNESCO-ICHEI Higher Education Digitalisation Pioneer Case Award

Cadi Ayyad University, one of the largest universities in Morocco, has won the UNESCO-ICHEI Higher Education Digitalisation Pioneer Case Award. The award ceremony took place on December 7, 2023 in Shenzhen, China, a press release said.

The Moroccan university was awarded for its hybrid teaching certificate on university pedagogy, designed to strengthen the skills of teachers on including information and communications technology (ICT).  

Subsequently, the UCA Training and Certification Center and the International Institute of Online Education (IIOE) of Shenzhen University-China launched a joint digital pedagogy training program, aimed at teachers from 11 French-speaking African countries. Since then, the Moroccan university has worked more to improve teaching thanks to these new developments.
