Through his lawyer, Moroccan rapper Taha Fahsi (El Grande Toto) announced that he had taken legal action for defamation, the day after the publication of two tweets accusing him of pedophilia without presenting evidence.

In a press release published on Thursday, January 4, his lawyer Mohamed Zahrach indicated that his client's action followed a «smear campaign to which he was subjected, with the dissemination of false information about him and which harmed him, as well as his immediate family».

This action before the Casablanca public prosecutor's office has been initiated for «defamation, dissemination of false information and invasion of privacy». It aims to «obtain compensation and pursue the perpetrators of the damage», in defense of «the rights and interests» of the plaintiff, wrote Zahrach.

The complaint targets the administrators of two X accounts (formerly Twitter), who separately published the accusations pointed out by the lawyer. Since the publication of the two posts, the first account has been locked, while the offending post on the second has been deleted. However, screenshots continue to be shared online, attesting to the initial posting of the content in question.
