Israeli flag carrier El Al announced on Monday, February 5, that it will not be restarting its direct flights to the Moroccan city of Marrakech for the upcoming summer season.
The airline cited changes in customer demand following the eruption of the Gaza war in October 2023 as the reason for the decision, Reuters reported citing a statement by El Al.
El Al had suspended its Marrakech flights in October after the Israeli government advised its citizens to avoid travel to Morocco due to security concerns. The Dublin route, launched in March 2023, was similarly halted in November following the start of the conflict.
