The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has reaffirmed its confidence in coach Walid Regragui, following the Moroccan national team's early exit from the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), according to a statement released by the football body on Monday.
FRMF president, Fouzi Lekjaa, held evaluation meetings with coach Regragui, where they reviewed the team's preparation and performance, acknowledging the disappointment of fans and identifying areas for improvement.
Lekjaa emphasized the need for continued work and effort to restore the team's standing and please fans in upcoming competitions, including the 2026 World Cup qualifiers and the 2025 AFCON hosted by Morocco.
The FRMF expressed its continued confidence in Coach Regragui, pledging full support to achieve the desired results for both the national team and Moroccan football as a whole.
The FRMF also extended its deep gratitude to the loyal Moroccan fans, both domestically and internationally, for their unwavering support and sacrifices, especially those who traveled to Côte d'Ivoire for the AFCON.
