The Party of Progress and Socialism (PPS) political bureau, in a press release made public Tuesday, urged Morocco to take a leadership role in developing «a firm Arab position» putting an end to recent war on Gaza. The party called for «concrete and urgent initiatives» to protect the Palestinian people.

The statement described the Israeli actions as «dirty aggression exceeding all limits» and condemned them as «crimes of genocide». The party also urged Arab countries to express a «strong and unified position» against Israel's actions.

This reiterates the PPS's earlier call for Morocco to reconsider its diplomatic relations with Israel, established in December 2020. The party argues that maintaining relations is inappropriate «in the context of Israeli aggression» and violates international law.
