Italian police arrest 15 suspected of smuggling Hashish from Morocco and Spain

In a joint operation, financial police units from Pisa, Brescia, and Bergamo, Italy, arrested 15 individuals accused of large-scale hashish smuggling, Italian media reported on Monday. The arrests follow an investigation initiated by prosecutors in Brescia and Bergamo.

Investigators allege the group, a family of Moroccan origin operating across Italy, Spain, and Morocco, imported significant quantities of hashish from Morocco and Spain before distributing it within Italy. The charges include criminal association, drug trafficking, and transnationality.

Technical surveillance and undercover operations reportedly revealed the criminal network's activities. Authorities haven't commented on the specific evidence gathered.
