Moroccan coach Houcine Ammouta confirmed his departure from the Jordanian national team in three or four months, citing family responsibilities in Morocco.

«My contract is valid», Ammouta stated, Sunday, referencing his intention to fulfill existing obligations. «However, after the Asian Cup, I informed the Federation about my desire to leave due to personal circumstances».

He emphasized leaving after completing upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Pakistan. «These matches will likely be my last with the Nashama», Ammouta clarified.

Despite Ammouta's announcement, the Jordanian Football Federation Vice President, Marwan Jumaa, maintained his position. «We have a contract and intend to continue our journey together», Jumaa declared in media statements. «Currently, we haven't received any official notification of his departure».

During the recent Asian Cup in Qatar, Ammouta led the Jordanian national team to a historic achievement, reaching the final of the Asian Football Nations Cup for the first time ever.
