During the ongoing war on Gaza, Moroccan retail chain Marjane Markets announced on its website the upcoming sale of a toy Merkava tank in the second week of March.
This toy is modeled after the Israeli Merkava tank, which is being used in the current war on Gaza that began on October 7th and resulted in an estimated 30,000 fatalities.
The Merkava tank is a source of national pride for Israel, considered its primary battle tank and described as «the most advanced and fortified in the world» and «the tank of the 21st century».
Marjane's product description highlights the toy's moving features, such as the rotating tower and wheels, appealing to «fans of military construction toys».
Yabiladi attempted to contact the Marjane store for comment, but was unsuccessful.
Later on Wednesday and after the publication of our article about the toy Merkava tank, Marjan management removed the item from its website (Marjanemall.ma).
