Morocco, whose Sovereign, King Mohammed VI, chairs the Al Quds Committee, strongly condemns the targeting by Israeli forces of Palestinian civilians who were seeking humanitarian aid at the Al-Rashid Avenue, north of Gaza Strip, killing dozens and injuring hundreds, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, said Sunday in Riyadh.

Reaffirming «its absolute rejection» of international humanitarian law violations, the Kingdom of Morocco calls for «an independent and transparent investigation into this despicable act and for punishing the perpetrators», Bourita said during his meeting with the foreign ministers of the member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

Bourita also reiterated the urgent call of King Mohammed VI to the international community to step in urgently to achieve an immediate, comprehensive and permanent ceasefire, to ensure the smooth delivery of aid to the Palestinians and to guarantee the protection of the Palestinian people.
