Morocco's Ambassador to Argentina, Fares Yassir, invited President Javier Gerardo Milei to visit Morocco to strengthen trade relations between the two countries.

Yassir met with Argentinian Parliament Speaker Martin Alexis Menem and discussed «parliamentary cooperation and establishing parliamentary groups to enhance exchange visits». He added, «It would be an honor for President Milei to visit the Kingdom of Morocco».

According to official data, trade between Argentina and Morocco reached $1.49 billion in 2022. Yassir highlighted that «Morocco is the main fertilizer exporter to Argentina» and mentioned «the possibilities of formulating tripartite cooperation projects with African countries, especially in agricultural production».

Argentina primarily exports wheat, soybean oil, flour, frozen shrimp, and prawns to Morocco. Ambassador Yassir also expressed interest in «continuing cultural activities like those held last year» to deepen non-commercial aspects of bilateral relations.
