French-Moroccan artist Gérard Darmon expressed his support for the Israeli army, which has been waging a devastating war against the Gaza Strip since October 7. The war has tragically claimed the lives of more than 30,000 Palestinians, a majority of whom are women and children.
Vous êtes notre fierté, vous êtes notre honneur. Sans vous, on ne serait pas là. Vous faites vivre l'État d'#Israel . "Am Israël Haï", a déclaré l’acteur Gérard #Darmon aux soldats israéliens de passage en #Israël .#France #Palestine #Gaza#GerardDarmon pic.twitter.com/NP2zAjK1Io

Addressing a group of Israeli soldiers, Darmon stated, «You are our pride, you are our honor. Without you, we would not be here. You are bringing life back to the State of Israel».
Darmon was granted Moroccan citizenship under Royal Decree No. 1.12.12 issued on June 17, 2011. He is widely regarded as one of the most renowned film and television stars in France.
