Morocco’s ambassador to Paris, Samira Sitail, held talks with French officials. Sitail met with Yaël Braun-Pivet, President of the French National Assembly. Their discussions focused on «the concrete realization of our rapprochement in all areas», Braun-Pivet wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

«Our parliaments have an essential role to play in the economy, youth, culture, and the environment».

The Moroccan Embassy in Paris described the meeting as constructive and emphasized the importance of «parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening relations between Morocco and France».

Sitail also met with Jean-Louis Bourlanges, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee at the French National Assembly.

According to the Moroccan embassy, their discussions covered «the depth of bilateral relations, Morocco's territorial integrity, and the situation in Gaza». Both Braun-Pivet (Renaissance, Macron's party) and Bourlanges (MoDem) belong to the governing majority.
