Experts from the Allied Joint Force Command Naples, a NATO military command based in Italy, flew to Morocco, later in March, where they held training on Counter Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED).

According to the NATO command, the training took place at l’Unité de Secours et de Sauvetage du Génie Militaire in Morocco, Kenitra, Oct. 23-27, 2023. «The training focused on NATO C-IED processes and procedures with practical and focused C-IED case studies and scenarios at the operational level», the command wrote Tuesday on its website.

JFC Naples Mobile Training Team (MTT) included three instructors who mentored 25 officers of the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces on the C-IED field at the operational level.

JFC Naples' MTT is part of NATO’s cooperation and collaboration efforts in the region, promoting interoperability with NATO, the same source concluded.
