Driver killed, passenger injured after rockslide on Taounate road

A driver was killed and a passenger injured on Tuesday morning when falling rocks struck their car on the road between Ghafsay and Ourtzagh in Taounate province.

According to Al3omk, the vehicle was traveling from Al Hoceima when it was struck by the debris and plunged into the Oued Oulay riverbed. The road's deterioration had been worsened by the recent heavy rains.

The driver died at the scene, while the injured passenger was transferred to Taounate hospital for medical care.
