Ibn Tufail University and Shanghai Normal University signed a cooperation agreement on Tuesday in Kenitra, focusing on scientific research and innovation.
The agreement, signed by Ibn Tufail University President Mohamed Larbi Kerkeb and Shanghai Normal University President Li Yan Song, aims to develop joint projects in various fields, with a particular emphasis on artificial intelligence.
The visit of a delegation from Shanghai Normal University provided an opportunity to sign a cooperation agreement that will strengthen the partnership in training, scientific research, and innovation.
In a statement to the press, Kerkab added that this agreement reflects the desire of both institutions to strengthen bilateral cooperation, especially in training and scientific research.
Song, for his part, expressed his satisfaction with the close cooperation between Ibn Tufail University and Shanghai Normal University, which contributes to the dynamism in Moroccan-Chinese relations. He further stressed the importance of this agreement in promoting future cooperation initiatives between the two institutions to realize joint projects, particularly in vocational training and scientific research.
The Chinese Ambassador to Morocco, Mr. Li Changlin, also weighed in, considering the signing of this agreement a promising step for cooperation initiatives between the two universities in the coming years. He noted the strong desire for Chinese and Moroccan universities to expand collaboration.
